The following is preliminary data for the Livewire Sub Divider:
The Livewire Sub Divider is the second in our series of classic Steiner-Parker Synthasystem re-issues. This module duplicates the functionality of the Steiner Frequency Divider, with a few extras.
It can take any periodic waveform at it's input and divide it into 4 separate frequencies, which are then subdivided into undertones. The first three are transposed either 1 2 & 3, 3 4 & 5, 4 5 & 6 or 5 6 & 7 octaves down. The 4th is transposed either 0, 1, 2 or 3 octaves down and then divided by odd intervals of either 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 or 13.
The resulting 4 signals are then mixed via front panel controls and output as either square or sawtooth waves.
Another interesting use of this module is to run a lower frequency waveform into it's input and use the output to trigger endlessly variable syncopated rhythmic patterns. This same method can be used to provide interesting rhythmic stepped CV patterns.
Available Spring/Summer 2006.
